Omot number one in Basketball Africa League for round 7 (by Hoops Agents)- May 5, 2023
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Cape Town T. (#4, 1-3) with 16-point margin 91-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Ahly maintains the 2nd position in Basketball Africa League . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al Ahly already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Omot had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. Former Rutgers University star Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Third on the list of top players last round was Mali Bourama Sidibe (208-SF-1997) of Fer.Beira (#3). Sidibe scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Fer.Beira, leading his team to a 82-76 win against #4 ranked Cape Town T. in a game of the week. Fer.Beira needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Sidibe has a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (6th best).
