South Sudanese-American Nuni Omot (206-SF-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Al Ahly, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Cape Town T. (#4, 1-3) with 16-point margin 91-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Ahly maintains the 2nd position in Basketball Africa League . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al Ahly already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Omot had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Al Ahly, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Baylor University star has very solid stats this year. Omot is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.0ppg) and averages impressive 57.1% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dane Miller (203-PF-1990) of SLAC. Miller had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists. Of course he led SLAC to another comfortable win outscoring City Oilers (#6, 0-3) 96-68. SLAC's 5th position in the standings has not changed. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory SLAC managed to get this year. Miller is a newcomer at SLAC, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.8ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.8rpg and 3.3apg. Former Rutgers University star Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was Mali Bourama Sidibe (208-SF-1997) of Fer.Beira (#3). Sidibe scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Fer.Beira, leading his team to a 82-76 win against #4 ranked Cape Town T. in a game of the week. Fer.Beira needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Sidibe has a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (6th best).
